History of
Pousada Vila Bella
In 2004, Isac Araújo (the owner) and his family moved from São Paulo to Parnaíba. One day, they decided to visit Macapá beach and were amazed with the place, they realized all the beauty and tranquility. As they wanted a place to rest, they had the idea of buying a piece of land in that region, thus building a summer house.
At first, it was just a house to gather friends and family, and they also discovered that the place was suitable for fishing, since it was one of Isac Araújo's passions.
The pousada was opened in 2012, through the appearance and lovers of kitesurfing. The demand for pousadas in that location by foreigners from all over the world, increased a lot because of the strong and constant winds. In the beginning, they had only three rooms, then they were organizing and expanding it to provide with all style and comfort, an exceptional structure and a unique experience to their guests, until it officially became a pousada.
The name Vila Bella pousada came because of the town Macapá, for being a small fishing village (Vila) and also because of its daughter's name Isabella, thus, Vila Bella.
Among the personalities who contributed to the development of the pousada, Maria Eunice, mother of Isac Araújo, chef, stands out. At the time, the place had no restaurant at night, so she made all the difference, being a pioneer with her tasty and perfect cooking, keeping the family spice.
The pousada is a rustic place, connected with nature. And the chalets remind us of fishermen's houses.
They are passionate about what they do, always aiming to surprise the guest in a positive way, keeping your satisfaction as their main priority and making each one enjoy the view of the beautiful village, or, Vila Bella.
